Description of the Bird

I'm very much an amatuer, so when I saw these at the feeders, I looked for them in my CO book. Not there, of course. I didn't do more research until this afternoon.

The birds were aggressive, chasing chickadees and nuthatches away from the feeders.

We're a mile or so from Manchester Lake -- 384 Patricia Road.

Similar Species Discussion

By a strange coincidence, a friend had sent me an Audubon card featuring the warbler. The birds looked very much like the photo on the card, which is in my office. Hard to mistake for anything else around here. However, nearly all had a gold patch under the chin. Immature?

Resources Used

Audubon site.

Previous Experience

Not much. Just know the common birds around here. These were clearly unique.
