Description of the Bird

The bird hangs out in the willow habitat  and yard. Certainly out-of-season, far west of usual breeding grounds. Call check online, plumage rust with cream belly with dark markings, long tail, size almost that of flicker.

Similar Species Discussion

Too big to be a hermit  thrush, too rust to be a sage thrasher, etc.

Resources Used

National Geographic - 7th edition,  Sibley, online - etc

Previous Experience

I have known the Brown Thrasher from long ago, also hermit thrushes.  I am 94 and have belonged to CFO forever. The address is that of my helper and husband. They have been seeing it almost daily. Chatfield was my study area, before moving to Coal Creek Canyon - the trasher was seen there a few times. There is a video Renae made - not sure we can send it.

3) A generic location with no specific coordinates is mapped to the center of the reported county.
