Description of the Bird
Shortly after stepping out of the car, I heard a bird singing a song that sounded like that of a Cape May Warbler. The bird was singing and calling often and was thus easily located foraging in a cottonwood tree. Observing the bird for a good while, I was able to see key characteristics such as the chestnut cheek patch and streaked yellow breast.
Similar Species Discussion
None. The plumage of a male Cape May Warbler is distinctive.

Previous Experience
I've seen several Cape May Warblers previously, mostly in Florida. I was familiar with the song from "homework" (listening to recordings).
