Description of the Bird
Since the bird was seen at nearly the same location on these two different dates, though 9 days apart, I suspect that both sightings are of the same individuals.
This bird was Swainson's Thrush with rusty upper parts reminescent of Veery. Flanks and sides fairly bright buff. Spotting on chest less extensive, smaller, and more diffuse than that of Olive-backed Thrush. Face buffy with buffy eyering, typical of both taxa. This combination gave the bird a uniformly colored appearance, different from the buff face/upper chest contrasting with the dull olive upperarts/flanks of an Olive-backed Thrush
Similar Species Discussion
Olive-backed Thrush. Grayish flanks, duller olive-brown upperparts, more prominently spotted beneath
Veery- has gray cheek, little or no eyering

Extensive
