Description of the Bird

medium size songbird. Dark Blue with a black eye patch that fell down a little towards the cheek. Grey or dull yellow beak.Striking brown patch on the wing.
Behaviors: Sitting on a dried yucca flower signing like crazy with the surrounding meadowlarks.
Call: Singing like crazy
Plumage: not known

Similar Species Discussion

Eliminated Indigo Bunting because the shape of head was different. Also differed was the distinct eye patch and striking brown wing patch that seems unique to the Grosbeak.

I have never seen a bird like this here, which is why I have done so much investigating into the matter.

Other Dates: I had never seen this bird before and have walked this trail for 1.5 years. For 'plumage' I put 1 because I didn't know how to fill that out
