Description of the Bird
Largish Empidonax with green upperparts including crown. Wings quite contrasty. Tertials black centered with white edges. Wing coverts black centered with bright, white or near-white edging (wingbars). Secondaries edged with yellow-green. Throat white, contrasting sharply with gray-green auriculars. Weak round eyering. Rounded head throughout observation. Moderately long primaries. Bill smallish c/w eastern WIFL. Tail moderate length, relatively broad, square-ended.
Similar Species Discussion
w WIFL should be duller and shorter winged.
Eastern WIFL typically would have different head shape (more crested), larger billed, darker and duller above
Previous Experience
Moderate with ALFL and eastern WIFL; extensive with w WIFL
